White Cross Bay is about 5 minutes drive (2 miles) from Windermere Town on the A591 heading North towards Ambleside.
As you pass through a small village called Troutbeck Bridge, you will see a petrol station (with Spar shop) on the L/H side.
Carry on past this filling station, heading North, for another half a mile. There is woodland on you L/H side.
Look out for the clearly visible White Cross Bay board at the entrance to the site on the L/H side of the road.

If you are heading south on the A591 from Ambleside, you will travel about 3 miles before reaching White Cross Bay.
Look out for the Brockhole visitor centre on your R/H side. After this, there is about another 1/4 mile or so before you will see White Cross Bay entrance on you R/H side.
